Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be experienced to participate? Do I need a “professional” camera?
Absolutely not. We all started this journey on different paths and with different equipment. Come and be a part of the group, create and explore. Keep your eye out for looks you are drawn to and reach out to those who are creating it. The best part of this journey is the amazing people we meet along the way.
How can I help out?
OMG YES! Feel free to reach out to demonphoto@gmail.com or the Instagram or Facebook group. We could use help on about every level.
Are you going to be doing things in Seattle or Portland?
While we may set up special shoots in other locations we are going to be keeping our focus on Tacoma, the south sound and Kitsap Peninsula.
Are minors allowed to participate?
Absolutely, with the understanding that the genres do from time to time feature more mature themes. While blood and gore are not a requirement, there will more than likely be plenty of it at the events. If any shoot is of a more adult nature it will be flagged as 18+ or 21+ and of course then minors will not be allowed to attend.
Can I bring props or items to use during the event?
Please do. Bring with you whatever will help you create the image or video you envision.
Is it ok if I come in my cosplay?
I really, REALLY hope you do! Nothing makes us happier than seeing people express themselves. We are a safe environment for creatives to create after all.
what exactly is DemonCon?
Demon Con is a dream I have had for awhile. This first little step forward I hope will become a full fledged horror movement in the south sound. I set out with the name of Demon Fair actually, but that name was taken so we are Demon Con. The vision is to create a place where authors, models, videographers, Photographers, MUA and Fashion designers collaborate to bring to life the things hidden.
